I can (and have) played the single player game without any problems what so ever.
As soon as I click "Host a game" or try and join a multiplayer game System Shock 2 crashes to desktop.
Can anyone help?

Could be that the game isn't installed/patched correctly or an uberagressive firewall/antivirus.
