As predicted, the dosh didn't turn up. BUT, I've seen the payment in and it clears Tuesday. Hope the leftovers get a reasonable interest rate.
I'm amazed and, not amazed. This has been a truly wonderful place ever since I've known it. And I didn't have any doubt the money would be raised, just not sure of how long it would take.
P.S. Thanks biker - appreciated.

I had no doubt either that the money would be raised. I was thinking a week tops to raise the money. How wrong I was, and I'm glad. It still is amazing when you think about it. :thumb:

Naturally, we expect 0.00% downtime from this point forward, you realize.

Sweet Christ $4000. Last night I was looking at it and it wasn't halfway up the bar. Now I look at it and it's nearly double the maximum.
I love TTLG.
I do have one question: does pitching in after the fact still net you the rewards? I didn't have any money this month but will next month, and I want that custom title.

Oh, absolutely!

So I take it we met the deadline to only have to pay for 9 months to start, instead of a full year? Which means more money for next year!
Yeah, I know, just thinking aloud, putting the pieces together.:p

well I just spoke with my OH on the phone and you now have another donation, not much but it's what I've got
P.S. if David and Saam want to buy a beer with my donation I have no objection I think you guys earned it

Splendid Work TTLG!
Thank you especially to David for the leadership and to all the other admins who work behind the scenes. I hope the new hosting arrangement makes their work easier.
I'd be curious how many people donated - I thought we were a mere handful but there must have been several hundred participants.
Of course this moment represents a great opportunity for the members of TTLG, whom have impressed me endlessly - you see, I am actually a Nigerian Prince and when my family was sent into exile we managed to stash 3.1 bazillion Euros in a local bank. All we need is a network of dedicated, smart but kooky gamers, to provide access to their western bank accounts, through which the multitudinous millions may flow...

Heh heh. Server aftershocks.
David on 29/1/2009 at 21:10
Yes, TTLG was inaccessible to you for about 20 minutes, but it was intentional as I turned off the webserver to optimise one of the database tables that was giving me trouble.
