This forum is run for the people and now is being kept alive by the people, who have not only been donating their time and skills, but now their hard earned money. So its natural to assume some changes would be made with reforming the way the site is run, ie. there is no place for old attitudes...
Plenty of bitter old codgers coughed up dough to have the bitter old attitudes maintained, thank you very much.

My donation is now speeding it's way through cyberspace. Long live ttlg! :thumb:
I'll pass on the kiss though, GB. Not that it isn't tempting but, well, you're not really my type! :cheeky:

You really just don't get it.
But I'll tell you what - if you want to retract your donation, I'll match it so we don't lose ground.

Worst case scenario is that I pay for the cheaper hosting package, be poor and hope people continue to donate so that I can afford to eat.
If we get close but don't make it I'll happily chip in more next payday.

I'm a little lean at the moment so it's just the bare minimum. Should have done this a year ago when I was flush. Oh well. I'll throw a bit more in at some point down the road.

Bollocks.
Isn't it just great that just as soon as people chip in, they start assuming they must also get clout with it.
These are donations, not shares, as David said, and a bloody good thing that is, too. As far as I'm concerned, donations should be made without any assumptions or conditions or demands. David has already promised pretty nice perks for everyone who donates, but I guess that isn't enough? Be thankful that someone does this shit for free, and is willing to support and develop the community you like. That should be enough.
If your only reason for donating was to buy influence, you're in this for the wrong reasons, dude.
