Hey hey question:
Do horses need to be fed/sleep? The first horse I had (the main quest one from Wyneon Priory) died randomly on me shortly thereafter, in the middle of the forest with no one attacking it, making me think that I had done something wrong by not taking care of it correctly. I just recieved a really awesome horse as a quest reward and I don't want this one to die one me. Anyone know how to properly care for an equine counterpart?

If it's Shadowmere he respawns automatically where you first rode him.

Dope. In that case, time to go kill a necromancer. Sweetness.

yeah, my wonderful chestnut horse, let's call him George, up and died on me too as I exited a cave I was exploring. do you have to feed it or something? or is it a terrible horse-killing bug? (hoof and mouth disease *gasp*)

Falling hurts your horses too!
Oh, and I was wrong about Shadowmere.. he just passes out (Like other main NPCs) and comes back to life =)

I'm kind of dissapointed that Shadowmere and the unicorn don't appear to run faster than the other, lowly horses. Perhaps I'm mistaken, however. I have not spent much time on horseback, I instead prefer to run and jump wherever my path of destruction leads.

One important horse care tip: Don't let bears near your horse. A bear killed my horsie when I was playing last night :( It's kind of annoying how enemies focus on trying to kill your horse instead of you.
I'm pretty sure you don't have to feed them. If you leave them in a stable outside a city for a while they seem to heal up any damage they've taken though.

You think that's bad, I had a guard still hostile to me after I was arrested and paid my fine. He accepted my yield, but kept on attacking my damned horse.

I had a Spriggan leap outta the damn bushes and tall, beautiful, swaying grass (:D ) and summon a black bear that proceeded to maul my horse. The Spriggan chased me around while I furiously backpeddaled Serious Sam Style and filled him full of flaming elven arrows from my Dragon Bow. When the bear was through swatting/chewing on teh horse.....he joined the chase. God, just walking through the countryside turns into a desperate fight for life. But now that I've been there, I don;t want it any other way.
to wit:MUCH BETTER THAN FIGHTING RATS AND CLIFF RACERS WHILE LEVELLED TO GOD'LIKE STATUS AD NAUSEUM.
