I can't remember if i posted this ages ago but neway, i'll post it again. I just thought i'd describe the most interesting situation i ever got myself into in Deus Ex.
I was in the Versalife building in Hong Kong and i was going through all the rooms being the inquisitive person that i am. It just so happened that one of those green acid spiting things was locked up in one of them and he set apon me. Well those little critters normaly frighten the bejesus through me at the best of times but when i wasn't allowed to pull a gun or risk blowing my cover and have the whole building of security come down on me i decided to get as far away as possible. I ran out and the little green girble thingy came after me, saw some security gards and decided to go after them. Well the security guys (who were UNATCO soldiers from what i can remember) grouped up on the girble and i thought the little critter would be put out of its misery, but no, the soldiers hit the MIB or mj12 commandos (one or the other i can't remember) with thier random fiering. The MIB/mj12 turned on the soldiers and before i knew it there was a full scale war happening. The whole place was shot to pieces. Ended up with about 2 people left in the whole building and i thought what the heck and took them out. Made it the easiest level nearly for me to complete. Neway it was damn crazy, and i rekon Deus Ex would be the only game for that kind of thing to happen in.

I remember the first time I was in the lower levels of the UNATCO HQ. Fun to see them all kill each other! But mine wasn't as severe as yours. Just a few got killed... plus innocents... still nice to see those critters chomp down on them. :ebil:

Heh. Yeah, although in the game I try to avoid casualties as much as possible , it's just too damn sweet chance to ignore, setting the greasels free and then RUN. Cool stuff:cheeky: :cheeky: Last time I opened the doors, then ran upstairs to see what happens. LMAO when saw the greasels spit acid on an unsuspecting scientist's face through an open door and then attacking fearlessly the MiBs. So, you just stomped past the barracks and guards into the labs and open the cages? I stun the guards on the way before entering, but looks like it's time to rethink the strategy, eh?
At UNATCO HQ I thought I just leave the greasels in their cages, because there aren't that many guards around anyway and was bit afraid that I have to deal with the whole bunch myself later on. What exactly does happen: do they just start running around, looking for victims or what? So, is it 'safe' to let them loose?
Has anyone visited the radioactive room in VersaLife with the greys in it? Anything worth to get from there or is it just waste if time?

well apparently we will see a lot more of the greys in dx2, they are supposed to be allied with JC, but if that is true...

Yeah its worth getting them (greys) out.. You just need to run really fast. They take care of everything, almost.

I never got the civil war to happen, but I always make sure to release as many test subjects as I can. First I let the Captain out and watch him get turned into chowder. Then I release the greasels, which are usually friendly towards me. Finally I annoy the grays and lure them out. By the time it's over there are meaty chunks lying everywhere and the survivors are all out of ammo. The scientists are usually the first to go.
Another thing I love doing is using the biohazard barrel to wedge the MiB into the corner. Then I tap it to get it to leak and he gets stuck behind it inhaling the fumes.
