I'm mostly interested in the planned HD remake of Homeworld 1 and 2. My understanding is that an HD remake of Cataclysm will never happen because the source code was lost, which is a real shame.

I need to get my copy of Cataclysm back from my brother. Still my favourite game in the series, oddly enough.

Yeah, you know, despite its stylistic departure from the other games I think it has the strongest narrative and the Beast is pretty creepy for an RTS enemy.

The fleet itself has more character I think, with the ragtag mix of converted mining ships and wacky specialists. Also they all have unique voice clips for the "yessir", "under attack" etc.
Awesome moment too when everything is so fucked you just throw yourself at the vastly superior Bentusi ships out of desparation.

You're not missing out on much. The Homeworld 1 remastering is pretty buggy and due to being in the HW2 engine complete with HW2 ship AI, doesn't actually play anything like Homeworld 1.
