The first Borderlands, too. They basically scammed SEGA out of money for
years to develop their in-house pet projects, and only went and produced a half-assed game because SEGA threatened to sue.
No matter how badly that reflects on Gearbox as a developer, they're not developing this game. Though a ground-based 2D RTS doesn't really seem like Homeworld to me.

Yeah, I'm not talking about what's going to happen to Hardware or its quality. I just mean GB have proven to be dicks in general, so Blackbird ought to be a bit wary. Of course, Hardware's been in development hell for three years for some reason, so who knows who's possibly jerking whom around.
deth: that may sound bitter to you, but strip away everything but the facts, and that's pretty much what happened. 'Decent' is just another way of saying 'slightly above mediocre'. Whether DNF is out of date or not doesn't make a difference to what it is. DN3D certainly is out of date, but it's still a great game... at least the first episode, anyway.

Considering that 'mediocre' implies a 4/10 and DNF is 7/10 (IMO) 'decent' is slightly more positive, you still sound bitter. Did you even play it? You have a history of these noisy opinions about games you haven't even played (see: Planescape Torment.)
Aliens CM is a 5/10 and yes, Sega's AVP game is much better. For one thing, it's at least competently made.

Er, yeah, I've played it. And PS:T, too - just not completely. I keep ribbing you about PS:T because I think it's ironic and hilarious that you take what I'm saying about it seriously, as it is ironic and hilarious to think that two people who haven't played it enough to have something close to a fully formed opinion can actually argue about it.
But that's neither here nor there, and neither is your opinion on what decent or mediocre is. You keep harping on about bitterness, like it's supposed to make me reassess my outlook, but feelings have nothing to do with this. DNF's a game that shouldn't have the seen the light of day, because what ended up being released wasn't doing anyone any favours, except Gearbox. End of.
