Homeless in August... hopefully a short story. - by Digital Nightfall

Anxiously awaiting the story turning moment when Digi teaches his roomies a thing or two about responsibility while they manage to convince him to loosen up and get his drink on. Preferrably with a musical montage sequence.
literally GENIUS

Look for inspiration in the classic tale of the 3 Little Pigs, my son.
#3 was the smart one, btw, #1 and #2 used cheap labour and materials from Bangladesh.

Good for you, because god forbid anyone has any "fun" in college.I guarantee that nobody "feared" you. They just think you're a buzzkill and avoided you because it's no fun to party with an uptight nerd around.
seeing as how that seems to be what he wanted, l'd chalk that as one in the 'W' column, at least as far as he's concerned.

/edit: Plus, "telling them how to do their job" is pointless, since you're clearly missing out on a few realities: Considering this is university sponsored housing, they have to have a good sense of available space for incoming students, who generally make their own housing decisions many months in advance.
clearly you didn't go to a public university.

Actually, I did go to a public university. I just didn't go to a shitty public school.
Obviously, our experiences were different.

University/College is all about drunken parties, new experiences and taking advantage of your raging hormones. Not instilling fear into your dorm mates ffs
At least, it was for me. Never regretted it for a second. Sure as hell doesn't get any more acceptable as you get older. It's one of those things you can only do when you're young. LIVE
Then again, I did get expelled the first time around. Although with hindsight, I don't regret that either.
Be young whilst you're young

I always believed that the res room was for vegging out, the library was for studying and the clubs and pubs were for mad partying and binge drinking.
Mr.Duck on 27/6/2006 at 07:54
All that which you have believed in is a complete and utter lie.

Never lived in a campus. Have I missed a lot?
Shadow Creepr on 28/6/2006 at 19:58
Digi, I'm sorry for the situation you're in. I never lived on campus while I was at uni so I never dealt with the partying. I was able to share a 2 BR duplex with a friend. Of course, just because I was away from campus doesn't necessarily mean that my study time was actually spent studying. The local bar wasn't that far away. ;)
Like RBJ mentioned, college towns tend to have housing available on short notice so hopefully you can find something soon. I used to live near MTSU and there were always apartments or older homes with rooms to let for students.
Good luck!

People often say that you miss out on the social life if you don't live on campus, like if you live at home.
