Nice start! A little more variety in camera angles and close-ups spliced in during some of the longer scenes would make it more interesting. You also need at least one extended 'stare down' scene between two characters for added hilarity: featuring silent quick cuts between extreme closeups of both identical, expressionless plastic faces.
Also, some terrible background music.
SHIT! i told myself that i was gonna do close-ups in this movie but i FORGOT! that would make it so much better! damn... I'll have to remember that !! !!
thanks for the suggestion!
I'll add the music later, i write music (
http://www.acidplanet.com/zich) so i'll custome make some bk-grnd music... And yes, it is more of a thriller with a big picture story behind it all... even though it's plastic army guys, it can still be interesting! but beleive me, there will be PLENTY of action, stuff exploding, etc... I just have to wait till summer to finish it all... I'm working on a robotic monster right now, here's some pics of my progress so far... from nose to tip of tail, it's about the length of a regular pen... Very small and hard to work with... (

Thanks all!

Your big picture isn't going to work as nobody wants to watch army guys on sticks for more than ten minutes. You can dress things up with action shots and explosions, but at the end of the day big movie stories don't translate well to the medium you've chosen. You're essentially trying to convey a four movement symphony with a kazoo and a washboard.
Having said that, if you poke fun at the limitations of the medium (per doctorfrog's suggestions) and keep the episodes short and tight, you can probably reach an effective, compressed send-up of a Hollywood thriller.

Is it too early to take a shot at suggesting this as a contender in the 2007 Short Film Oscar category?
