Nope! Like I said it's "for isolating areas regarding the T3 OMs".
Sorry to tease you! TDS is so much harder to deconstruct for the wiki and encyclopedia projects, but this will go a long way to helping me, and the more I learn doing this kind of work, the greater the possibility I will maybe make an FM someday. Maybe.
I opened the OMs and the Group function is useless for many of them, but Judith's suggestion is just what I was hoping for. I haven't tried it yet, but I'm about to.:thumb:

You should also be able to select all the copies of a static mesh, or static meshes with particular skin applied.
That's something which never worked for me the couple of times I tried it (well, if you refer to the options in the "Select" entry in the right click --> context menu). I could need it to detect some SMs with non-saved skins but I never managed to select all SMs of one sort.

It's you that have to add new groups, selecting groups of objects and adding the property, in the way like you will be able to discern/see what you'll need and what you'll not need. In complex architectures I use it often.

Oh! Since I have to select everything anyway, I just Group it all to save myself the trouble later? Makes sense. Thanks guys!

I tried it out, and it's still tedious, but it's a good start. I've saved four groups for the Blue Heron Inn's four storeys (the basement and three floors). Lotsa huge smeshes!

Never really used groups in the long run. At some point, there are so many meshes and entities in your map, that you hide objects when needed, and position things in 3d window and then adjust them in top/side view. After some practice you know your map wireframe well enough, that you don't even need hide/show function ;)

And by contrast I use groups all the time, just to define which room is which or interesting combinations of meshes/bsp/whatever so they're easy to select and duplicate about the place, and I find it much easier to work in a wire-jumble of only a few rooms rather than a whole map at a time.

Here in Italy we say "the class is not water" ;)

Is there a toggle to turn all the icons, like look-points and emitters and zone-properties, off all at once?
