For crying out loud.
Look it's not about the specific freaking game, it's about how this entire franchise is now a front for stochastic terrorism.
It's that simple. JK Rowling is a bigot and a hatemonger who allies herself with other bigots and hatemongers and uses her fortune to persecute a vulnerable minority. It's not about boycotting the game (although I would), it's about knowing what lies behind it. If you're at peace with all this and continue to buy Wizard merch,
you are funding hate.
I'm not going to debate this because it is very clear that's what she does with her money, she's been very vocal and upfront about it all by herself.
You don't even have to research it, it's all done for you, just read this (and the links within it): (
https://www.gamespot.com/amp-articles/jk-rowlings-anti-transgender-stance-and-hogwarts-legacy/1100-6501632/) JK Rowling's Anti-Transgender Stance And Hogwarts Legacy
And watch this: (

If after all this you still don't see it, then I don't know what to tell you. She's one of the most prominent figures of the Gender Critical hate movement in the UK, for Pete's sake. She's not even hiding. Look how she allies herself with. And I haven't even touched on the antisemitism that's
another big, big issue in her works.
Long articles, yes, and long video, and all the related links, that's a lot to take in but you gotta do the work, otherwise you're just being willfully ignorant.
And if that's where you want to stay, we have nothing to talk about.

Yes, probably best you don't lecture this Jewish person about antisemitism. The Jewish community has been grateful for her longstanding support, and her committed opposition to Jew-hate. If you must attack the woman for her skepticism of gender ideology, please don't raise phony accusations of antisemitism when doing it.

rachel and Bucky,
Eva and SD know all that and that's why they're in this thread. I can imagine it's hard not to say something, but I think you're playing into their troll.
SD on 2/3/2023 at 21:52
Er, I'm not trolling. Unless pointing out facts is trolling now.

Any more than you should lecture a trans person about whether JK's views are at all feminist, I guess.

Missed the part where I did that.
Anyone want to discuss the actual, you know, game? Is it as good as the majority of reviews say it is?

You're not trolling, but you're also not engaging. You only responded to the parts of Rachel's posts that you could turn to your advantage.

Turn to my advantage, what is this, cocktails with Machiavelli?
If you read their post, they did actually say "I'm not going to debate this". Which is fine by me, because I know what happens to people who try.

True, you're not remotely in the same class. I don't see what the point of you engaging here is, because if straight out ignoring the problems with Rowling is the extent of your wherewithal, all this does render down into is the usual SD dollop of facile smarm. She's not just problematic, she's straight out anathema to the trans cause, and people already know this unless their perspective of the world is rotated straight into their own ass.
If you want to state an actual opinion without the faux combative bullshit of an 'ideological battleground' like, perhaps, 'I disagree, because I am disassociating the art from the artist', then maybe this wouldn't be nearly as irritating an exchange.

So does anyone really think it's a coincidence that SD has posted more in this thread than he's posted in all of the non-Community Chat forums for the last 2+ years? And was anyone surprised when Eva, of all people, posted a thread for this game, that the only person to post a response after a week was SD?
I guess it could have been Vae. Come to think of it, you'd think the anagram bots might look out for each other.
