playing HOC c....and it is much better. the frame rate seems to be running smoothly so far.

Sterlino....the atmosphere is really great...i love it, and am happy to be playing it (so far).

i am already stuck

[SPOILER]i snuck in the back room of the shop, and hit the target for a secret.....but now i cant get out of the room! i hit the switch on the wall to on, and i hear something opening....but alas, i am still locked in the room[/SPOILER] :confused:

thank you for all your hard work to get this going for everyone...i for one was eager to play, but getting dizzy....now, i can play it, but gotta get some sleep, so will look in the morning for an answer.

You might want to look into reencoding your videos in something other than VP3. I just renencoded them in DIVX, which is more common than VP3, and got them down to 27MB from 54MB on my first go without any visual difference. That's a lot for someone on dialup, and even more for the person hosting them.
I plan to have a go using Indeo5 when I get home from work.

:( aww I cant download it... ThiefMissions says I cant download it because Im downloading something else but Im actually not :confused: . Im confused. Shame cuz it looked like a great mission sterlino and I was really looking forward to it :eww: .

The IP address you posted your thread from is not currently downloading anything, and neither is any IP address close to it. There are plenty of ongoing downloads, so the system isn't busted. I'm not really sure what else I can do; these things are usually related to web proxies and they usually pass quickly. But of course waiting a few minutes and trying again and then sending me a PM or email if it still didn't work would deprive you of an opportunity to complain in public.

In the event of an emergency you could open Missflag.str and add no_briefing and remove any cutscene to every entry not marked with skip (IE change miss_23: "no_loadout,cutscene,end" to miss_23: "no_loadout,no_briefing,end").

please attention to a bug discovered by myself:

in the sneak level (the medium) you will find that knoctout the shopkeeper will push you out of the game- it's a bug.
Cause i don't wanna make it so. I would that you can knot the shopkeeper than you have just other 2 left knot to do.

A little help here please guys. I just downloaded the FM and installed it in Darkloader, re-booting my PC as recommended in the readme. When I tried to play it, it went straight into the first mission of T2. I tried a couple of other FM's at random and they all did the same thing. Anyone know what gives? And more importantly how to get out of it? TIA Steelman.

i know i should be able to do something [SPOILER]in the cemetary near the shop....there is one grave covered with concret, and i can see that it looks like it should slide open, but cannot find any way to do that!?[/SPOILER]

[SPOILER]and how do i open that little wood door inside the area you get to with the gate and the wood bar across it? have gone up the ladder, opened the chest, but can't find any way to get in there...i am pretty sure i need to![/SPOILER]

Pretty cool level sterlino - Unfortunately, I had to go into Dromed to see it though [spoiler] if I bought something in the store it would not work in my slots (like the BJ) and no keys to get through doors that I could find [/spoiler] and if I get some time I'll send you a list of what I found.

Looks cool though and has some great atmosphere in it - congratulations on your FM!
