I think this is really great for a first mission, however the number of keys is driving me crazy.
One door was locked and none of the keys would work. I quicksaved and then threw the explosive device at it (getting ready to blow it open) and the sheer force of the explosive hitting the door opened it. :laff:
I'm stuck in a room with water. I can't seem to navigate through it without running out of air.
I think it is the one that the n*120b key opens.
Heh John9818a,
I kept using that device to blow up anything i didn't have a key for!
THen i found out where it was suppose to be used -nearby the tunnel tracks.
A water key is still in my inventory along with the air key and No fire key!
Yep, i luckily had that key when i got to the end of that water maze and opened the airlock door.
I think I have been everywhere including where the lava beast was where i found the Air key.
Now i have all these keys and checked the burrick shed and broke the bottom out and nothing but a blue square was in there.
I am absolutly lost!!!
I think i should just go back to the BAR and Get A burrick steak and some BEER. I could get drunk and play with the booze dispenser and talk to guy drunk cop flopping on the couch-ha HA
Sterlino made an great puzzle and AI's with this one-i have been chuckling alot through this. :laff:

Playing on Ghost level.
Using the Air key.
Instead of getting a craybeast appearing outside the hut (as mentioned in an earlier post) I was telported to a little grove with someform of spirital elevator to a gem. When I grab the gem, the game crashes to windows.

Has anyone found a use for the pond in the tunnel down near the spite/fairy. The bottom of the pond looks like either something goes or comes out.
I hate to tell you this, Dealasteal, but assuming it's the same on whatever level you're playing as it is in Ghost, the Fire key is in the "lava beast." I snuck around behind it then shot it with a water arrow; it staggered, and I shot it a second time, and it just disappeared, leaving the Fire key behind.
There was a readable that explained this: some great hero of the miner guys went crazy; he took the Fire key, ran off into the woods, and swallowed it... turning into that lava beast. So it's in his stomach, and I figured that the only way to get it out was either kill him, or else feed him some bad fish and make a note of where he goes to... oh, never mind. Just kill him. It's cleaner!

Maloo, I found the office you were talking about:
I rode the hand cart through the railroad tunnel to the other side; then I went in and climbed down the ladders inside the pipe. I climbed out, then went around the corner to the big gate.
From there, I used invisibility to open the gate; but I didn't go through it. I darted inside the door the archer was standing in front of while he went to see why the gate opened. Inside there, I found the guard standing in front of a table with a key and a letter.
I took the key and climbed down the ladders. I opened the door that the key opened, went inside, and read all the books... but nothing checked off.
What am I missing? Is there a cleverly hidden book in there I didn't read? It's the only objective I have left to do, since I did manage to destroy the Hell portal.
I got the Scepter of Krall in the graveyard, in the grave the opens when you read the spell from the sea chest. Then I took it down the tunnel to the right of the fairy and dropped it in the water there (I think that charges it up). I plucked it out after a bit, then went to the portal of Hell room and shot the portal, destroying it.
A weird thing, though; the first time I dropped the Scepter into the green water, I left it in for a while... but every time I picked it up, I would die instantly. Did I overcharge it? I reloaded to before I'd dropped it and this time just let it bathe in the water about five "sound effects" long. I plucked it out and didn't die that time.
So what book in particular am I supposed to read (on Ghost) to satisfy that last objective?
Thanks,
Dafydd

Now that you mention that.
I knew it was in a book somewhere, but i couldn't figure out where the story fit the clue again.
I feel really dumbfounded and thanks for that giveaway. I knew it was there from a previous post but they never said how it was done. :p
I am playing on poor and was just thinking i probably need to play on hard or better to actually have something to do with the keys themselves.
I thank you for that answer dafydd
Come to think of it-i should have known something was up with that beast as he was just sitting there red hot and slow and i still didn't get it.

Dafydd,
have you been to the area where the guards are talking about rats?
there's a hatch that has a ladder down to a room, make sure you grab the key from the table first! then look for one of the locked door :)
i might actually replay this fm on snake or harder i really want to use the keys and stuff but i really dont wanna not be able to use my blackjack

Bug report to fix for the Deluxe version...
The Woman in the Lodge behind the counter has a male voice! Objective didn't tick off when i found the Fire Key! Left Saloon door vanished! Found a red key with no object name. Phantom button found behind the big gate with the Guard on top towards the Lodge. The chap who was playing the machine in the Saloon, kept mumbling even though i had KO'd him and i couldn't pick him up!
All this was found on the "Poor" setting.
I enjoyed taffing around this FM, again! I had got much further this time and i saw the
thingy where you can catch a ride across to the other side and then stand on it as it's going back across, for getting to another area!
Great concept was that Sterlino! :thumb: Oh, i really liked the altered area where the little thingy thing is! You know, where the little wotsit is. (Sorry, can't think what it is at the moment!) - Too tired! :bored:

ShadowWolf, I'm down there now; I can't find any book that checks off that objective. Is it different on Ghost?
Also, in the house attached (which is the one part way up the hill from the beginning of the mission, I think), there is a door -- the one that leads to the fenced-in yard where you climb up a ladder and get the ice bombs, I believe. Is there any way to open that door? I have eighteen distinct keys now, not counting duplicates or the four elemental keys, which have all been used... and I STILL can't open several doors!
How do you get this door open? Maloo said earlier there was a button in the shaft with the skull, but the only button there didn't open the door (unless it closes really fast).

Dafydd:
i played on poor but i think it should be down there
are you sure you frobbed all the books down there? theres one thats supposed to go in your inventory
it's pinkish, like an old old book its called "The True Nature of ---" its on the left
the wooden house:
i never found a key to open that door. maloo was talking about the other part of the house that you get into by window or down by the book depository. i shlashed it with my sword only to find
a wall
but it this maybe also because i was playing on poor
Dafydd on 31/5/2004 at 06:30
It was there... it was just right next to another book, and I couldn't get it to frob until I crouched and went way off to the side; I kept lighting up the one next to it.
Thanks, everyone.
Now, I have six secrets out of eleven... anybody have a secrets list?
(I'm going to finish now, but I'll keep a savegame from this point to come back and try to get the secrets.)
