I guess I wasn't clear. I wanted to say "try to put more than 4 dynamic lights that cast dynamic shadows, see how your machine crawls in this new unreal engine 3, that runs more than 100 games on new consoles nowadays.
I meant how great tds renderer was, with regards to 1 million usd unreal engine3, which was written much later than the renderer that runs tds. (of course there are other tons of bells and whistles in ue3, but I'm talking about dynamic lights and dynamic shadows.)
I don't have any problems with tds in regards of performance.
Funny though, I wanted to emphasize how we all complained about tds engine first, then I thought "maybe when unreal engine 3 comes out, it would be able to handle dynamic lighst & shadows better than tds, but I was wrong. Even crysis engine has limits on number of dynamic lights.
