I'm doing a Hlaalu quest for Edryno Arethi (or whatever she is named). The quest is to go to the Prelude and retreive a Deadric Wakawashi (damn I can never remember the right names/spellin). I'm pretty sure I already raided that ship, but I don't know where I left the sword.
So I killed a dremora and luckily found such a sword, but she doesn't accept it. What to do now?

You'd best find that wakizashi... it's unique; no other will do for her. If you're on the PC, then you can console it in, but otherwise you're hosed. Just in case you're on the PC:
player->additem "daedric wakizashi_hhst", 1

Oh and I have another problem:
For the Hlaalu House Building thing I need to start an Eggmine. I need to recruit 'some' people, I've already recruited one person in Gnisis and I'm wondering how many more people (slaves I have to buy) I need to run the mine. Are there any alternatives to slaves?

They don't really tell you, but you're not hiring miners so much as you're hiring a foreman; the guy in Gnisis should be good enough. Go back and talk to Dondos Driler again and see what he says.

I don't want to buy slaves. But maybe I have to, but how many, that's the question.

Hmm... so you have a journal entry that reads "I found a miner who will work for me in the Shurdan-Raplay egg mine."? (Ilasour Tansumiran gives you that if you've cured the Shurdan-Raplay queen and then ask him)
