I'm past the Courious Queerbait task where he ask me to take off my clothes. He agreed to sponser me, after the violation, and then he sent me to Odral Helvi to do some tasks for him. I'm currently up to the task of, " Deliver ebony to a friend of mine ". When I click on this business he says, " What ? Drinar Varyon is dead ? I'll have to look for a new contact. Nevermind, howie. " When I go back to Courious he says to go back to Odral Helvi, which ends with the same, no business to accomplish he's dead. I don't remember killing anyone that hasn't attacked me first except for a couple of merchants in Balmora. Does anyone know why or how to get around this part ? If not, can someone tell me what the ~ code is for this guy Drinar Varyon.

There's a Legion quest to find incriminating info on him (a Dwemer tube); he disappears shortly thereafter. That might "kill" him, as far as the game's considered. As to the ID to placeatpc him, unless someone else does so I'll look it up and reply here when I get home.

or

(I'm not sure which)
Also, looks like the Legion quest doesn't disable Drinar; only the Hlaalu quest can do that. You must've killed him sometime (maybe he caught you taking the tube?).

I don't remember doing any legion quest. I joined the legion but never got around to doing any of the missions. The game seems odd again. The journal txt. seems to have dissappeared from the Morrowind folder, however it's still there in game, must have been misplaced by my computer. The people have started to mistrust me, for some reason, for everyones disposition has started to drop the farther I get along in the game. I had Courious give me the same responce as the Wise Woman, in that, I haven't fullfilled the requirements of the Neverine and that I should go see the High Priest in Vivec. Courious finally started the Hlaaalu House quest after I talked to the Priest even tho the Priest had nothing more to say to me. It's funny because I can tell when something is wrong with the next task they would normally assign my character. They will start to run around in the room in my presents, and when I talk to them a broken quest is sure to follow. I'll try the code to see if I can restore drinar varyon to the game. Thanks for the help, Forsythe.

Btw, from what I've seen Journal.htm disappears when you load the game up and is created when you load a char. So if you start Morrowind and immediately quit, it gets deleted.

Yeah, I just found it, the journal has surfaced again.
Here's the same buggy message from the journal only from Crassius:

It's weird that it keeps surfacing since I defeated Dagoth Ur 200 days ago. :weird:

*wry chuckle* Yeah, I noticed they really didn't do any quality QA for events past defeating DU. Even returning to talk to Vivec, you get at least one 'I'll tell you about that after you defeat DU'... silly.
Btw, howie, you can safely ignore that like the other... there's at least 4 ppl who'll do this to you. :p
Edit: Looked it up, there's 6 journal entries that say more-or-less the same thing from: Athyn Sareth, Crassius Curio, Divayth Fyr, Mehra Milo, Gilvas Barelo, & Nibani Maesa.

It's still a pain-in-the-ass. I have to go visit the priest every time this happens and click on everything in his talk box before they will give me the next task/business/quest.
Oh well, can't have everything.

You sure? From what I can see of Crassus, you just have to say 'Goodbye' and talk to him again and he'll act like nothing happened...
