That's good enough a rec for me. I was holding out to see whether they could pull off the episodic model - by all accounts, they have. It's a bit of a shame it doesn't run super smoothly on mid-range hardware like the 970, but that's the price of progress. I'll probably pick it up around one of the upcoming sales in Nov - Dec even though regional pricing renders it very affordable here, because holy shit I still have to get through DX: MD.

I definitely would love to demo a level to see if the rest is for me. My only experience with the series was Hitman 2 back in day and it was "ok." Probably would have picked up Blood Money had I not been playing Splinter Cell at the time.

That's one half right out the window since Absolution, then. Shame they didn't get him back, but after scoring four titles within the one franchise, I suppose he would've wanted a break.

What content will be excluded from the release version? Elusive targets and bonus episodes?
Something about limited time content in a single player game kinda irks me.

FYI this is on sale right now on Steam, $30 (half price). Sales ends in about 20 hours. I picked up the PS4 version.

It's only training (mini) missions, AFAIK. The true first episode includes Paris, the first proper mission.

It's the training missions, especially the second one, that really got me hooked, though. Paris was great, but I needed the smaller, more focused yet still varied playgrounds of the training missions to get into the game. As such, they did a perfect job of teaching me how to play, and they convinced me that I wanted to get the whole thing.

I just bought this game, but with zero minutes of actual playtime am on the verge of uninstalling and submitting for a refund. The game thinks if I have joystick drivers installed I must be using a controller and want the camera to spin wildly. The game also won't let me reduce controller sensitivity below 0.5, and appears to have no config files or launch options I could use to brute-force a solution.
I was really excited for this game but this is such a horseshit problem to deal with.
