The Democrats would surely be shooting themselves in the foot if they did go with Obama over Clinton because LOL IT'S CALLED THE WHITE HOUSE FOR A REASON
aside from that who knows? cares?

One of the few things that could top this is if the Terminator ran for president, which I think isn't far off.
Wouldn't Article 2, Section 1 of the Constitution disqualify him for not being a native-born US citizen?

Yes, but many people slept through sixth grade and don't know that. They still go out and vote. It doesn't matter, because it's more difficult every year to tell the difference between elected Republicans and Democrats.

For the time being... they're working on that now...
@Aerothorn & Slyfoxx
Agreed. They say much and seem to know and do little.
The new governor of Massachusetts pretty much falls into the same catagory. His camplaign slogan was "Together, We Can." No one ever actually said much about "we can" WHAT? ... except the usual, "We can make a difference."
I'm sick of politicians, schools, teachers, therapists, counselors, parents, voters who feel that "feeling good" is much more important than looking at reality and acting out of and being judged by your ability to perform and think critically.
I work, indirectly, with/for the Dept of Labor in the US and our boss came back from a seminar in Wash DC with the message from the DOL that our main problem in the US, as the DOL sees it, is that we're losing and need to teach
"the ability to think critically".

But at least most republicans stand FOR something.
Yeah - for enabling and engendering a total corporate stranglehold on the U.S.
Otherwise, I pretty much agree with Aerothorn.

Yes, I'm aware of the constitutional requirement (although I should have been more explicit). I don't doubt Parker's Site on "they're working on that now...", though. The power of celebrity and probably the most "electable"/popular Republican candidate since Eisenhower came back victorious from WWII.

Hilary's a whore who's only in this position because she used to be the first lady. She has far too much political baggage to stand a chance, unless she comes up against someone equally miserable.
Like McCain, who has the charisma of a dead maggot, and about as much spine. The way he bent over for Falwell and his jolly gang at the first whisper of '08 and his policy on Iraq made a lie of his 'Moderate Republican' persona, which should alienate most of his base.
Neither stands a chance unless they face each each other, in which case we're in for a whore-off of epic proportions.

So, pretty much like every other Presidential election then?

In other developments, Fox News is still a pus-filled boil on the arsehole of world journalism :nono:

oh god sometimes I forget that (some of) the US is actually the way it is.
SUICIDE BOMBER SLIPPING UNDER THE RADAR
Much as Dawkins (oh god not this again) is a twat, he is right that it ISN'T right that you have to be a Christian to get anywhere in the politics of a secular republic.
