Hiya,
I want to thank you for all the links I have found on the ttlg site. I finally mangaged to win a copy of SS2 on eBay, not cheap ($25!, I only paid $20 for a brand new copy of Bioshock) but I can already tell it's gonna be worth it. With help from the forums and the site, I managed to get the program running well on XP and even installed the shtup beta 6 upgrade.
I'm glad to be a new part of the forums and SS2 family. I won't be in too often to check, since I've got some gaming to do, but I will check in occassionally.
Thanks again.

If you think that's expensive, try finding a copy of the original System Shock. I've seen copies of that go for $80 or more on Amazon. :erg:

So glad you managed to find a copy; welcome to our little world of SHODAN and monsters and hacking.

This morning, I just missed out on a new, still sealed copy of System Shock on eBay, it went for $12.50! If I thought I could run it without too much modding (not to mention slipping it in under the wife's radar), I would have bid more than $12.
Thanks for the warm welcome guys, I'm really liking SS2, which is good, because I managed to win a second copy while bidding this last week. I was bidding on just about all of them, hoping to get one cheap. The average was about $35, so when I saw my first copy at $25 on a Buy it now, I did. I had been shopping for a couple of weeks.
I didn't even expect to win the second one at $19.99.
No one was bidding.....so I bid the minimum. Voila, two copies!
Not a bad idea to have a backup I guess, now all I have to do is slip that one in undetected.
Gotta good laugh at myself over it anyway. Nothing quite like fanatical bidding to create surplus inventory.:thumb:
Update on my gameplay: I think that I'm about to restore main power so the elevators might start working soon. Just saw an odd cinematic cut-scene today before I had to stop playing.

I'm going to be selling my copy of System Shock 2, The box is signed by 9 people from Irrational Studios. : ) I'm not sure what I'll get for it, but it should be interesting.

I'm pretty sure I see it on eBay right now. I'm one of your watchers but I will not be buying it. I am watching for going price and how many are listed as that drives the price down. I'm gonna sell my second copy soon. I wish you very good luck with yours.
I'm still getting my splicers and hybrids mixed up, I'm finishing my first run through Bioshock and started playing Shock2 right in the middle. The Von Braun, Rapture....... where the heck am I?
I also got a copy of Half Life last week and started that too, so Black Mesa chews up some of my time as well.
It's been a lovely addiction so far.:p

If you're saying that now... just wait.
