Hi there! I'm looking for some people on here so I can start up my own Halo map pack (with the forge feature). Now you must be thinking what the hell has that got to do with System Shock 1 or 2? Well I'm making a Halo map pack based on System Shock 2 and a little on 1. But I really want to try to stick to the roots of System Shock and I'm finding it to much to decide by myself so I need help. All I want is people who would have some knowledge of Halo 3 and that's about it but if you have any forge skills that would be a big bonus.
I've tried every Halo type forum, now I'm here. Hope to hear from someone soon.
Thanks for you time.

Why not?

Because so many people have tried porting the first level to some other engine. Everyone's getting tired of this. Not because they all fail, we expect that. But because it's always the same level.

To be fair, if my computer didn't find some creative way to kill several hours of work, each and every florking time I tried to do something on this mod, I would have had all the levels mapped out by now for SS1.
I play a lot of Halo 2 maps, and some hacked stuff, done some hacks, and filmed some movies with a friend. We like to stick to our roots like we used to several years ago. It keeps us young. If you have a somewhat easy to use BSP program, I will be happy to help you do geometry stuff. It's not an exact port like, right? Just like making a 'feel' mod?
***Halo 3? Map pack? Can you make your own levels now, or are you using a hacked Halo 3? Man, I need to get out of this job. It really is making me fall back in terms of what is going on.

Kodan, Halo 3 has a map editor and not a map maker (I put editor in bold because a map editor is pretty much the same as a map maker but not in these terms now). Just editing can be doe to these maps but some very advanced editing it is. No hacking, and I can't make a map on the computer and put it onto my Xbox. But if you were to check out the Halo 3 maps and tell me the best approach to making them as System Shock 2 like a possible that would be great.

Forge is just a less interesting imitation of Gmod. It allows the placing of game props but not the editing of level geometry nor the creation of new props. Without these features I'm puzzled as to what exactly your plan is.

Sadly none of you know much about the forge feature in Halo 3 so I guess I put this in the wrong forum. Again.

...what?
Is Forge now able to do these things or something?

Forge is shithouse. Really. OOH LOOKIE I CAN PICK UP AND PLACE OBJECTS IN THE DEFAULT MAPS, OH MY GOLLY GOSH.
Seriously. They added that foundry map especially for forge yet it's STILL annoying to use and really not that great.
