Too late. Gone again. Be another year or two before the next hi yall.
It is at times like these that I am reminded of the immortal wisdom of The Donnas:
what you're giving is not enough
so baby I'll call your bluff
cause you're just a tease
baby
please don't tease
don't act like you really want it
cause you're never gonna get down on it
you're just a tease
At least she had the decency to let people know she is alive.
Kolya on 31/5/2008 at 07:31
If this is considered an act of decency now we all might still stand a chance.
At times like these that I am reminded of the eternal wisdom of the Stones:
You don't know what's going on
You've been away for far too long
You thought you were a clever girl
Giving up your social whirl
But you can't come back and be the first in line
You're obsolete my baby
My poor old-fashioned baby
I said baby, baby, baby you're out of time

Hey Hey!
What's all this wire in the jaw stuff? Slightly worrying as the last Moony story I can recall she was going to be murdered by her no-good sister who just out of Sing-Sing...or something (er.. I hope that's not close to the truth. I can't remember the details, I just remember the conversation getting overwought in old fashioned TTLG stylee. Apologies for any grim memories evoked)

Hi, again, all - and tankie fer all yer wubbas! :D
Lessee...I did leave you all hanging...many apologies...therefore, I shall now play catch-up.
About the nephew/sister issue...
I decided to let my nephew go to another home. The family who came to take him also adopted him, and they specialize in children with disabilities. Since then, it has been revealed that due to my sister's drug and alcohol abuse while pregnant that my beautiful, little redheaded nephew has FAS and other birth-related learning disabilities that will cause him to stop aging mentally by the time he is eight or nine, and he just turned eight in September of 2007. However, he is happy and healthy and adores his new family - just as they adore him. Nevertheless, handing him over like I did after raising him since he was barely a year old was like cutting of my arm, and he will always hold a special place in my heart, as, for a time, he was my baby - not just my nephew. :(
My sister never spoke to me, or came to see me, once she found out that I had relinquished her son to another family. However, she admitted, finally, all of my fears - she was indeed going to come for him as soon as she got out of prison, and take him back by any means necessary. That being so, I feel I made the right choice, even if it was a painful choice.
Regarding my jaw...
My jaw is still "broken," in a manner of speaking, and worse than ever. The left TMJ is degenerating and the mandible joint is jammed into the temporal opening on the left side, which is causing the right side to remain in a subluxated position, which is a fun word for "partially dislocated position." Fortunately, the painful road is coming to an end, and I will be headed down to the University of California, San Francisco to have my pre-op consultation on June 18th. So, please, wish me luck and send me prayers - as we want this to go well, yes?
Yes!
Everything else...
I decided to go back to University after I fell out of contact with everyone, and have since graduated at the top of my class with a double major of criminology and psychology and a minor in criminal justice. I am currently working on my Master's thesis. YAY! Needless to say, schooling took up the majority of my time, and still does!
My plans after I attain my Master's is to apply to the FBI as a criminal psychologist with emphasis on profiling sex offenders and counseling victims of sex crimes along with aiding in the capture of the "worst of the worst." I already have some connections within the Bureau, and many letters of recommendation. If that does not work out, though, my back-up plan is to work with the criminally insane (in whatever capacity I am needed).
My kids are all in school now, and enjoying it immensely (for the most part). My eldest graduates from sixth grade this year - and is beautiful - so I have my bat ready for the "Middle School" boys who are going to ask to date her. Though she is only 12, she looks like she is 16, so the bat is prepared for high-school aged boys as well. My middle daughter is now 8, and is in the second grade, and is also scoring the highest grades in her class. Due to her high grades, she has been bumped into a mixed class (second and third grade) where most of the work she does is on a third grade level. My middle daughter has also been selected to test for the GATE program (an advanced learning program for intelligent children). My youngest daughter started kindergarten this year, but was too smart for it, so they bumped her up to the kindergarten and first grade mixed class. She is currently scoring top of her class as well. And, no, I am not proud of my wonderful, intelligent, and beautiful children. :cheeky:
Beyond all of that, I have done some modeling work on the side, and can still make a mean spaghetti sauce. ;)
However, if you want to know more, you know where I live - just look skyward!
NOW...how the hell have all of YOU been?

Wow Moonie - you've been through and accomplished much since the last time you were in these parts. My wife and I raised our neice (years ago) until she was 4, then her parents finally straightened out and took her back - it was incredibly painful, and I can't imagine having had her twice that long.
Good to hear the rest of life is on the upswing though. Congrats and \0/ on your degree(s). If you need subject matter for your thesis on sexual crazies, may I point you in the direction of ttlg's own feathered friend? Entire books could be written...

I certainly understand how you felt, fett! I am sorry that you also had to go through such pain.
*HUGGIES* :)

Tankie! And, pray tell,
which feathered friend do you speak of?
*dreams of picking the brains of the criminally insane...* ;)
Take care, sweetie!

Moonsilk, what makes someone, who obviously indulges in childish innocence as much as you do, want to pick the brains of the criminally insane? I could check your earlier posts for angels, huggies and heaven references, but instead I'll just ask: Have you always been silly like that, or did it come when you had to deal with too much crazy shit?
EDIT: I always thought a profiler has to be able to think like a criminal. Can you be a mean bitch as well as that sugar coated you? Show it sometime.
Also: Do you hang around on 4chan? lol

Best of luck to you in your operation Moonsilk, I'll be thinking of you.
There are definitely worse things than functioning at the level of a seven or eight year old; sad as it is that his potential was derailed by your sister's use of drugs. Alcohol is one of the worst for the fetus, I believe it's even worse than cocaine. But he can talk, and love, and do basic math. With help and support he'll have a good full life; and it really sounds like you worked as hard as you could to find the right place for him.
Your kids sound wonderful, and I'm happy they're doing so well in school.

I was once resolved of the opinion to ban you on sight should you ever come back into #thief.
I don't think many of the people who remember precisely why still post here.
