i can tell you a bit about the Abandoned Flat....

there's a read me document with it that describes exactly where it's located. he describes it very well and even gives map coordinates.
but generally speaking, its on a hill across from the silt strider north of Vivec. there's a bridge near the silt strider and if you go down to it, you will see a hill on the other side and the house is on top of the hill. :)

its locked! there is NO key. :(

the only way you can open it, that i know of, is with a special scroll. The Scroll of LockSplitting. (i think there's another name for it like Ekun's or something but can't remember.) it has a lock rating of 100, so nothing else will work unless maybe your lockpicking skill is as high as it can get. :)

he also says in the readme that you're out of luck if you don't get a scroll. :(
(i was fortunate. i was sneaking things out of the crates in Balmora, and one of the first things i found outside the Southwall Corner Club was a lock of locksplitting, rating 100!!!)

okay... lets say you got inside now. :)

you have to go into the bedroom and move the candle on the table. look VERY carefully. you'll find a key there. put it in your inventory and go to the planter with the fire plants in the hallway. it will slide to the side.
there's a trap door.
open it and explore.
you'll find zillions of rooms below!!! not any goodies, cuz you haveta fill it up with stuff YOU find on your journey thru Morrowind, but it's still amazing!

:) took me FOREVER to figure out how to find those rooms, but my jaw dropped when i did. there's supposed to be quests too... a special hidden statue (if you explore ALL the rooms, especially the most unlikely ones, you'll find it!)[/SPOILER]
