ah shit I forgot about this. I tried d/l it a while ago but the site was either a)down, or b)got about halfway through a song then it would just crash or lock up. Will try again.

yeah, I wouldn't say that song alone quintessentially represents us. I love the song, but they're all quite different and one song doesn't really cover the band. That's our sort of epic, rousing, post-rocky song. In fact, you may as well wait until all ten are done. I'll air-mail you a CD if necessary but it's going to be EPIC in a way that 4-at-a-time-myspace-streaming-format will struggle to capture. Or something pretentious like that anyway. VINYL.

Well, as long as this thread is up ... I sat down at the piano last week and composed (
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=UEI7JKC3) this pretty much on the spot. It's more or less gimmicky, but it does give one's fingers a workout. Of all the scared-shitless scrambling creatures that vied for the title, Spider Scramble won out.
I wrote it in midi just to get the notes down, faster than writing it out on paper, but it's unvarnished (no speed or sound modulation) and it's still midi, so it doesn't sound nearly as good as it does on the piano. But I don't have recording equipment, and this still lets me contribute something because I like to compose.
(By the way, does anyone know a place to host midi that will play it directly on the page. It's seriously only 9kb. A hosting service almost seems like over-kill.)
