I agree with DJK not quite the showstopper "Five Years Gone" was but was an interesting episode. I cannot stand that bitch Candace. I hope she get's hers.
Mama Petrelli is in it with Linderman because Papa Petrelli was friends with Linderman. I am also wondering what DL's part in all of this is. I think he has a badass power and it was good to finally see him get a little tough and do something instead of standing around and whining about it. I think maybe Niki/Jessica and DL are just caught up in it and Micah is the reason. We don't really see any future paintings with Nessica or DL but we got to see one with Micah last night.
How about that Sylar sidestory? I felt sorry for him for a sec or two, especially when Hiro called him "sad".

I actually think Mama Petrelli was Candice in that scene. That and the late Petrelli father committed suicide because Linderman told him about the plan and he couldn't see a way to stop it, so decided to check out early. still hate this show

That's a bit of a stretch though, it'd be abusing the fact that she can MAKE YOU SEE AND BELIEVE ANYTHING. We already got the tip that Old Woman Petrelli knew a lot more than she let onto before her sons started displaying signs of power

I previously meant to say why does Lindermann want Mikah, not DL, but that's been answered - rigging the electoral results. However, Lindermann's fascination with DL, Mikah and Nikki seems to be going beyond the superficial and that's intriguing too.
I forgot that Lindermann had said he knew Petrelli's father - was that during their discussion in the kitchen that time?
What do we think Mama Petrelli can do anyway?
It did occur to me that Mama Petrelli was possible Candice in the scene with Nathan, but at the same time it seemed a bit too much of a stretch for my liking.

IIRC the first time we're told is when Nathan exposits to the FBI disposables that his father was Linderman's attorney.

Earlier than that, actually. The first time the family connection is made explicit is when the news reporter lady does the interview with him in the episode after Nathan bangs Jessica.
Also I think Mom Petrelli's power is that she's a prophetess. Peter had been having prophetic dreams since before he met Isaac, and her statement that she knows more about Nathan and Peter than they know about themselves indicates a little bit too much foreknowledge.
