Always in motion, the future is.
Prediction: The bomb is neither Sylar nor Peter, it's Ted.

A very good show overall, it even manages to (mostly) avoid the pitfalls of any superhero show- inconsistent application of powers. In fact the only thing I've found which cannot be easily explained away as 'Peter can only use one power at a time' or 'the Haitian is blocking Parkman' is Mohinder being happy to cap Sylar in cold blood in one ep and then leaving him unconscious but alive in the next just so he can deliver a dead body to ma Petrelli. Nice going there, Einstein.

My prediction:
Linderman made the offer to Nathan, but was ultimately turned down. Linderman somehow finds out about Sylar, who has since gotten the shape changing ability, decides to get him to kill Nathan and take his place.
Sylar will be stabbed by Hiro, but will be healed by Linderman. Peter blows up, and the future we've seen is the one that we wind up with. Except somehow Ando will have survived, since he knows he's supposed to die in the explosion and will be able to avoid it.
Pretty dark, but I'd really respect the show for going in a non-"happy endings for all" direction.

I actually didn't even think of that at the time Zygop, but it certainly is a bit odd that he didn't even mention the fact that Sylar was knocked out in his apartment even if he felt that he couldn't kill him personally

I'd guess that Micah's in New York so that he can talk to the voting machines and get Nathan in to power. Hence Micah dying in New York.
i think Linderman is taking Micah to NY to fix Chandra's computer that broke during sylar & peter's fight
i also thought it was REALLY retarded of mohinder to not kill sylar while he was down

Fuck, Tonamel, you might be onto something with Linderman healing Sylar... in fact, mightn't it be possible that he's already healed him, after Bennet laid a couple of slugs into him?
I agree though that it's seemingly increasingly likely that the "alternate" future is the actual future and that we may witness the events that occur after the bomb explodes in the finale that discuss the "war" that occurs and leads us to the 5 years later point.

FIVE YEARS LATER. Also featuring the weekly series '260'
Comic #20 shows him just stitching himself up after being shot by Bennet. I really doubt Sylar has any link to Linderman, otherwise he wouldn't need the list the 2 Sureshes have made.
e21 and comic #31 spoilers
The Hard Part was a slowdown after the insane awesomeness of 5 Years Gone but god what a TBC at the end that was. I really have no idea how it's going to play out so I won't even try to guess. But I still think it'll end up with New York destroyed and destiny being unavoidable.
The comic has what looks to be a great showdown, it's a shame the tv show can't do action scenes like I think we're about to see in the comic. Case in point future Sylar vs future Peter off screen and ditto future Peter and future Hiro fucking shit up in the lobby. Here's hoping for a massive budget increase so we can actually see those scenes in future serieses :D

Holy shit that was a fucker of an episode, a slowdown sure but that cliffhanger was jaw-dropping. I honestly have NO idea where they're taking this but hey, this is for speculation, right?
- Lindermann wants DL for what purpose?
- Why is Mama Petrelli in league with Lindermann?
- Why is the "government agency" (thus far assumed to be government anyway) who seem to be wanting to wipe out or destroy the "special gene" working with Lindermann, whose plan supposedly has a positive purpose, or at least as far as we're told, for the "special people"?
Brilliant TV though, just brilliant.

Prediction:
Ted will explode as Sylar steals his powers. Meaning that Sylar will kill him, Ted will go Nuclear, then go out with a bang. In that process, Sylar could survive the explosion because he's radioactive.
Or
Peter will find something making it "worth" blowing up New York, maybe have Nathan under death threat and he'll want to save his brother.
I've watched and downloaded all the episodes thus far. I really enjoy this show and I'm glad that others here enjoy it too.
Considering that Mystique Girl's power, I'd say hes probably the one that can get Mikah out.
See the second previous episode. Lindermann said he had a team of "Heroes" who had a plan to save the world, but the team seperated and had different feelings on the idea.
I'm gonna wager that the leader was one of the leader and has a special power of his own.
That said I can't wait to see what Sulu's power will be in the next episode. Remember he worked with that gray-haired dude.
Why spoilerise speculation  Or anything actually, can we agree that this is a place to discuss what's happened in the most recently shown episodes/comics and anyone who comes in not having seen these is doing so at their own risk. Anyone who KNOWS spoilers of unseen episodes can spoiler them? Sound good?
Does Linderman want DL? I've always thought that his only connection is that he wants his son, Micah, to rig the election. We know Linderman got together with Old Lady Petrelli's husband during the war and afterwards, when Linderman realised he was wrong. She was probably in on everything her husband and Linderman plotted. I also don't think Linderman's plan has said it'll be positive for the mutants, just that it'll bring humanity together. If his plan is how things are going in the future that we've seen, the mutants are just a means to an end. Which is interesting as it seems their powers are more focused/potent after they've been taken in by the company and get those parallel scars. So maybe it's a natural thing but Linderman & Co (Ma Petrelli, Hiro's Dad, etc) are aiding the powers so that they can more effectively exploit them to bring humanity together.
Who the fuck knows :D Brilliant is right though.

Do you mean Linderman? I think you should read the comics :)
