Hey Scots - I see episode one on that page, but the next in line is episode 17. Do they actually have all of them somewhere?
Scots Taffer on 2/5/2007 at 12:51
Huh, I guess I got it wrong, it's only a selection of episodes that are available on NBC's site... oh well, there's always other avenues of internet to go down. ;)

Man I've been waiting for this thread. I just love this show. I normally only seem to watch movies and cartoons on my TV but Heroes has become the exception. I DVR it and rewatch the episodes a couple of times before the new one comes on, and I read those comics whenever a new one pops up. I think I have a real problem. ;)
**SPOILERS**
My take on the alternate future (I'm in the same camp as Kyote on this type of episode) I don't think Linderman meant for Sylar to take Nathans place. I believe Linderman really wants to blow up NY and be this (as he puts it) humanitarian. I think Sylar botches his plans. Nathan does become President so Linderman's plan is working but Sylar changes all of that. Right before the Sylar and Peter face off (ICE vs FIRE) Sylar says "Nathan had already turned on his own people before I killed him" and Peter growls "LIAR!".
And as far as the bomb, the way I understand it is that Sylar was the bomb in the timeline where Sylar kills Claire and where Future Hiro stabbed him but he regened, but now that Peter has changed the future and saved the cheerleader Sylar is no longer the bomb Peter is. So Hiro's going back to Peter on the subway keeps Sylar from getting the regen ability but does not actually change the bomb going off.
Also props to Mohinder for saving the day twice now. He map-smacked Sylar after the glass to the back of the head AND he jacked the Haitian so Hiro could escape. I don't think people give Mohinder enough credit. :)

BUT Clare was ALIVE!

Eh....I'm fairly skeptical of me liking this show. Is it possible for someone who didn't like the X-Men movies to enjoy this? I do like Watchmen, but it sounds like more of a teenage soap opera sort of thing.

Well it's not. Not much like Watchmen either. It's a program most geeks would enjoy so I'd say you have a good chance of liking it.

It doesn't matter because Sylar isn't the bomb anymore.
Future Hiro didn't know Claire was saved, so he didn't know Sylar couldn't have been the bomb(and lived, at least).
I think the Haitian was blocking Parkman from reading Nathan/Sylar's mind, so that's why Parkman was going along with the 'plan'.
That and the feeling that he was doing right by the 'normal' people.
Also, when did Bennet shoot Sylar?
He was a shot at a few times by FBI chick, but he used his TK to stop the bullets.

trying to get my thoughts coherant itc
the future we've seen:
Sylar killed Claire and took her powers. Sylar was stabbed but regenerated and the bomb went off, the world went to shit for a few people. Peter never saved Claire and never got her regenerating powers, hence the scar he has. Hiro then goes back in time and tells Peter to save Claire, he does so and so gets regen whilst Sylar doesn't, meaning that either they've changed the future (after they kill Sylar) OR Peter is the bomb.
BUT
Sylar was never the bomb, even in the future we've seen because Peter says that he is. So it can't be that.
Oh and yeah, Sylar's telekenesis saves him from the bullets. I think the comic showed him as a bit hurt from them but yeah, good reasoning.
Edit: just went and read (

In the episode where Sylar breaks out of Primatech Paper and traps HRG (Bennet) in the cell he goes to Bennet's house to get Claire but Claire's not there she want to see her birth FireMom. Sylar starts to whoop on Claire's adoptive mom and Bennet and the Haitian bust in and Bennet shoots Sylar, but he escapes.

I'll give him credit for being dreamy.
