I just gave my TerraNova CD to my brother (he just scored a p100) .. I was just wondering how do you get the resolution to go higher?
ShadowJack on 31/3/2000 at 16:26
Franke, the interface resolution of Terra Nova is 640x480. The in-game resolution can be switched between 320x200 and 320x400 via the in-game options screen (accessed with the o key).
Unfortunately, 320x400 is the maximum game resolution, but it still looks pretty damn good for a software renderer.

Thanks a lot ShadowJack, I really appreciate the time you took to gather those pages.
I had tried before the vesa driver I had on my ATI disk, but not this last version. I'll try it this week-end.
I've heard good things about TN, that's why I got it and kept asking about fixes for this problem. If it were a different game, I would have just returned it or throwed it away a long time ago.

I had no success with the vbe driver. Actually it was the same version that I had, except that now I tested with one more parameter to disable the acceleration. Still same result. I'll have to try this game on a computer with different video card and monitor.

Hello,
I'm getting really depressed. I MISS PLAYING Terra Nova. I've tried installing in windows and dos with and without the UniVBE driver with no success.

Hanging with a garbled screen does sound like a VESA problem, similar to what Laurentiu had.
Unfortunately, ATI has *cough* never been known for great driver support. The best solution may be to swap out your video card for a new one, even a cheap TNT or V3 if you can't afford much.

NO FAIR.

hey, anybody out there still remember what the DMA, IRQ, & etc settings were for a standard Soundblaster from back in the day . . . numbers i thought i'd never forget given the number of installs i did, unfortunately forgotten. i'm thinking i'll reinstall TN and relive the memories again.

Standard settings would be: A220 I5 D1
I know I'll never forget...
