I had T2 running with the two patches, although the keyboard I had the ALT keys weren't working so I got another. Same brand Saitek, but the Cyborg model. Just loaded drivers for it not the software as yet. However, as you can see in Mar is when I started having problems. The new board was bought after that but when I tried again in Aug after installing new board, I had the same problem.
I started the game, played the intro movie but as soon as it got to menue, I get that dumb message from Microsoft that says sorry but have to close, do you want to send error report? LOL
I have since deleted all of T2 thinking I would try a new install but before I do, can anyone identify why it started crashing so that I can make sure it will run like it should?
System Specs: XP-Sp3; ATI Radeon HD3850 1mg vid mem (drv.8.762); CPU AMD Athlon 64X2 5400+ 2.8Ghz; Creative X-Fi Gamer; Pioneer DVD combo; 630W PS; and 23" Samsung WS VGA/DVI *using DVI hookup (1440x900 or 1920x1080 res only), Catalyst ver.10.8. Was playing T2 @ 1440x900 same as desktop.
PS: Well after reading some of the newer remarks in the discussion thread re: ddfix, etc. I'm confused as to which I should use now. I first saw an update note re: ver 1.53 so I went to site to dl it. Then after reading further down in discussion thread, I see there is now one for 1.54 but not in official thread as yet. So should I get that one now instead? Plus in all the read-me's, this fix is addressed to owners of nVidia cards, so this is also needed for ATI right?
