I have two problems and would appreciate any help.
I have installed the game and when I click play it loads directly to the main menu. When I click Intro the screen freezes for a short period of time then does not do anything.
Another problem I have is that when I click the Esc key the game menue does not come up when I move my mouse up and down I heard the sound of the mouse going over a button but I can't see anything and when I click on the invisible button it does not do anything(which means the I can't save or exit the game).
The second problem with the menu also happens in my thief gold game

It might also help to know which game you're talking about first (was this post moved from another sub-forum?)

It would also help if we knew what system setup you were/are trying to use.
Game?
Version? Eidos discs, Steam DL, Eidos DL, Premier (UK), and so on.
Patched or modified?
Computer Specs?

I was not using DDfx but I just tried it with the same result
The games that I'm having problems with are System Shock 2 and Thief: Gold
In both games when I click Esc the menu does not show but the sounds of the games menu when you scroll over it are still there, the game is paused.
In System shock 2 the videos are skipped and after I load a new game the game freezes with a
black screen
Also the game(system shock 2) is patched with 2.3
