I'm getting somewhat confused with this, so I hope someone can help me.
I'm trying to do the quest 'Neutralise the bandit' for Duty. When General Voronin tells me about the mission, he says that the presumable location of the bandit is in the Dark Valley. However, if I look in my PDA it points to the underground tunnels in Agroprom. The problem is that once I get there, and even though I get exacty to the location where the PDA says the bandit is, there's nothing there, and the map doesn't even indicate the presence of anyone nearby.
Anyone already did this quest? Is the bandit really supposed to be in the Dark Valley? And if yes, how the hell am I supposed to find the guy if the PDA isn't showing his location?

I had a similar bug with another quest. I got a second quest to clear out the village of bloodsuckers on controller. I killed them all, but when the controller died, he didn't really get counted as dieing.
His body was on the ground and all, but I still got the gas-flooding sounds (but no screen distortion or aim wavering), and the sounds didn't go away. I ended up spending almost an hour looking for another controller. Then I quit the game, reloaded, and all the sounds were gone, but the quest was not able to be complete.
However, by that time I had found several rare stashes off of some bodies, so it wasn't worth it to go back to a previous save game. I just told the freedom guy that I refused to complete the quest.
So, that was somewhat off-topic, but maybe you just have another bug.

I already found a bug similar to the one you describe. If I ask for a job from the Duty guy at the first barrier, when arriving to the Bar area coming from the Garbage, he gives me a mission to kill the pack of dogs roaming around that entrance. Even though I kill all the dogs, the mission is never accomplished. I've tried doing it on several occasions (I quicksave before asking for the job), but the result is always the same.

That's odd, as I've done that quest several times. Every time I want to kill all the dogs to get the stash, I got ahead and get the quest from him for an extra reward.
I don't think he really gives much though.

I've had the exact same problem with the 'neutralise the bandit' quest. The marker points to agropom on the main map but he's not there in the minimap. If you go underground he appears on the minimap but he's still not there. I even tried lobbing a few grenades at where he was supposed to be but still nothing. Speaking of duty quests, the one to get the LR300 sniper from the mercs gives an insane reward: a VSS Vintorez.

I don't have a problem with a Duty quest, but to kill a group of Duty members near the farm house. I just can't find the last member(s) of the group. I've ran around everywhere on the Military Warehouses area but no luck.
I just stopped looking and started heading for the brainscorcher, no need to waste my time if I experienced a bug or something.

steo: I did exactly the same thing :) Out of frustration, I lobbed a couple of grenades into the corner where the minimap pointed the bandit's location.
