I started playing Deus Ex over a year ago, then got bored and I'm just getting back to it.
I'm just past the Stanton Dowd/Hells Kitchen Part, at the submarine base
Anyways, my point is, I've ran out of GEP rockets, and I have no scrambler grenades and I keep getting attacked by a damn military bot.....help? lol.

*cough* :)
Part of the beauty of Deus Ex is to be found in situations like this - there are so many ways to go about doing something. Okay, there are several bots in the base so I'm not sure which one you're talking about:
1. Mobile Turrets (the tiny ones)
2. Security Bots (the small two-legged ones)
3. Military Bots (the big mecha-like ones with rockets)
I suppose that doesn't matter, since they all need to be treated alike. They all have very heavy armor. They can be destroyed with regular weapons, but it takes a hell of a lot of ammo.
The best way to take out robots is explosives. GEP Rockets, 20mm grenades (from the Assault Rifle) LAM's, and LAW's. There are plenty of these things scattered around the base, especially in the two warehouses in the beginning. Another option is to use the enviroment. As you've probably noticed, there are several kinds of barrels and crates which explode when shot. If you're clever, you can pick these up and move them somewhere on the bot's patrol route (or lead it to them) and shoot them. Also, EMP grenades are highly effective against bots. Other weapons, such as the plasma rifle and nano-sword are less effective, but still better than standard bullets. Some alternate ammo types, like Sabot rounds for the shotgun, work better against armour.
Lastly, you don't really need to fight it at all if you don't want to. If a fight is too tough, consider trying to avoid or sneak around the enemy to get to your objective. What kind of augmentations do you have?

...That was a fairly long for a simple explanation. sigh.

the thing is...I'm pretty much out of ammo, I have no grenades, and I suck at sneaking around. but, I'll give it more goes.
As augmentations go, I have uh...toxic resistance, ballistic protection, the medical one (forgot the name), the energy control one, and the speed one. however, I only have one biocell left :cheeky:
maybe I should go back to my hells kitchen saved game and go see smuggler like i should have lol.
anyhoo, thanks :)

Keep on sneaking. Its been a while, but I seem to remember that there are some
friendly bots to be activated in a bunker somewhere.
Should help even things out. Also, you'll find more than enough ammo hidden around the place to deal with the bots if you keep looking in hard to reach places - level designers are nice like that.

There's quite a lot of Shotgun sabot rounds within the warehouses for the subpen map; shouldn't be hard for you to get your hands on a shotgun and shoot up the offending 'bot.
Then again unless you have Advance/Master Skill you're liable to be shot up or get blown apart first ... so recommend a shoot-and-scoot approach, depend on the terrain.
EMP and standard LAM should come to mind doesn't it?
Honestly, I wonder where did all your rockets go? I played a Heavy Weapons theme guy once (Hardly any chance to carry LAMs in case you wonder) and I still didn't ran outta rockets. Unless you blew apart every other camera and turret with your GEP ...

Bots are pretty easy to sneak around, since they can't hear...If you have hacking skill or have found a security login/password, one of the computers on the base (not sure if its a regular or security computer) can turn the bots off. Also, since you can't blow open doors anymore :laff: most of the buildings on that base have windows you can break and hop in, the computer might be in one of those buildings, I forget.

I finally got around my little problem by skipping back a couple of saved games and finding ways of NOT using all my precious ammo.
I just got to Paris. woo!
