Hi all,
new user here, Thief fan from a long time.
I kindly ask for a support, I'm currently migrating to Linux (Bazzite distro) from Windows and I'm currently stuck in a problem about the gamma correction for Thief 1 (same issue on Gold and DP).
I've installed the game via Lutris (and Heroic, but the result is the same) and running with Proton.
The game runs fine, the only problem is the gamma correction. At the default in game gamma value the shadows are too dark, almost pitch black. I'd to crank up the in game gamma slider up to 80% to have a slightly better view.
Unfortunately at this gamma value the overall colors are modified and not really ease to look at. I tried to modify a lot of Wine/Proton/Lutris parameters, and the d3d options under the cam ext cfg file, but without solution.
The same installer (latest and pre-latest thief installer taken from GOG) launched on Windows works good without problems.
Someone has some other hint to look at? I've surfed the faq and over various website but gained no other informations. If useful i'm trying to attach here or copy below the thief.log for reference.
Thank you in advance!

You can try to switch d3d_disp_no_rgb10_buf on or off in the cam_ext.cfg file. If there's a semicolon (";") before the d3d_disp_no_rgb10_buf line, it is switched off, and if there is no character before that line, it is switched on. After switching, try out changing gamma again. Hopefully, you will get something that works better.

I'm using Linux Mint 22.3 with GOG Thief games and it seems the gamma works, with Wine 10.
