Why are you here?
Through my conception, atoms arranged themselves in certain configurations that eventually led to me. These atoms originally came from the violent explosion of distant stars. My consciousness arrived at this point through a series of unique events from a combination of chaos and entropy culminating to this very moment of answering your question.
Now that I think about it, this is all pretty overwhelming. I better sit down...

That's a lot of pounds. Congrats!
Back to the game, though, is there some kind of a demo planned? I know they are not very common these days, but Lars Doucet apparently had a pretty good experience with Defender's Quest (something like close to 40% conversion rate on Steam). He wrote a bit about it here: (

Thank you! We are looking into a demo, but no promises just yet.

Sounds good, and I sincerely hope that your studio will thrive in the years ahead.
I was interested in hearing your response given that there are a number of studios who have revived old games recently, and often their perspective appears to be that games were better in the past so we are going to build off that rather than embrace something totally new (or more recent). And that's not necessarily a bad thing, as there's definitely a market for it and there are quite a few styles of games that I would love to see revived (as an example, I've often wondered why we've never seen another desert strike style of game). It's refreshing then to learn that your approach is more about taking some of the best aspects from the past, transposing them into modern engines and introducing them to new audiences, as a foundation to work from rather than a rejection of the present :)
Thanks twisty! That's our intentions exactly. Great gameplay is really ageless and capitalizing on the "new stuff" in combination with that in new ways is really intriguing to me personally.

Luna & the Moonling Oh that's Cute!!! Reminds me of System Shock 2! I'm sure SS2 fans will dig this. They have to, right?
Some might if they enjoyed similar past puzzle games and gameplay. We don't assume gamers only play a specific game, franchise, or genre. We are equal opportunity gamers! :P
Also, if you look at Mike's (solus) original post, we are just asking for support from an amazing community who has supported our past projects. Every bit helps and will allow us to build our studio and make bigger games. We are not asking anyone to purchase this specific game. People are free to vote "no" on our greenlight if they wish. That's up to them of course.

Sorry, that wasn't aimed at you, but at the pointlessly snarky "your game is nothing like SS2 hurr durr" nonsense immediately before my post.

I'd vote no on it, but

Scummy ass profit-machine Steam...

Haha, no worries. I still had fun making that answer up! ;)

Agree it sucks. I think it is mostly a way to keep tons of fake accounts being made to sway Greenlight voting. They want actual Steam gamers to be the ones voting on Steam games.

I'm glad you can't vote no. Spending $5 on steam isn't exactly a high bar even if you only have bought a few games on sale.

So, you come to this forum looking for all sorts of support for all your bullshit causes and awful essays, and then when one of the original LGS devs posts to try to drum up support for their new game, you just step all over him.
Feel free to just disappear forever anytime, OK?
But hey, I know you APPRECIATE THIS FORUM and all, right.
