I need help. when i ask Aryon to advance...and he wont let me..he says it is too late to become a Magistar...but i have done all of the chores. is this a glitch in the game? If not...how do i get around it?

Yes, it's a glitch...a known bug in the game. I'm afraid if you're on X-Box there won't be any way to fix it either, as I think it requires the patch to sort it out, which obviously, you won't be able to get :(

kek, finally, another xbox user. anyway, you'll have to start all over. it's not a glitch, it's just something you have to pay close attention too. when your next rank is shown as master and you've done enough duties and qualified for it, don't ask for advancement. keep on doing duties until aryon tells you about being master or arch-magister. if you wanna be master (lower rank that archmag), ask for advancement. if you want to be archmagister, you have to fight the archmagister himself. i forget his name or which one he is, i think it's the guy in sadrith mora. he has two dremora guards. fight him and if you win, go back to aryon and he'll name you archmag. happy playings, fellow xbox user

Yes, I am well aware we don't get plug-ins etc, however I am running a AMD K3-450 with a ATI Rage 128 and an soudblaster awe 32 so the chances of getting Morrowind to run were like, well, none.
I would have had to buy a whole new system and I am waiting for the likes of DX2 and Thief3 before commiting to that... the difference between a ~£600 pound upgrade or a £200 console all in is quite a difference!!!
The X-Box version seems fine to me and if I can't play the PC version I'll never know what I may/may not be missing!!!!:p
