That does look nice.
I found a replacement KU-0355 on ebay; if that falls through, I'll maybe pick this up. I'm not particularly thrilled about its cancerous bulge at the bottom, but it's not that huge, I'll live.

Those ergonomic keyboards? You have to get used to them over the course of a few days. Once or twice won't give you a feel for how they work.
The only downside to them is that when you use them over an extended period of time, you have trouble reconverting back to a regular one.
Hmmm. I don't find this at all. I've a Mac Air which, as you know, has a straight keyboard (a really nice one). I touch type though and have since 2001 or so when I played Typing of the Dead for ages, doing the tutorials and everything. I'm not the fastest typist but 20 wpm is like put-put what up with yo engine bro should have bought Japanese na wat i mean?

Sometimes as part of my job I do transcription, and I found the ergonomic keyboards hard to use as well. I can type around 70 words a minute, but because I reach for G with the wrong finger, my whole rhythm is screwed up when the keyboard is split in half. At work I use a microsoft comfort curve, and that subtle curving of the keys is enough for me to use it with relaxed arms. No media buttons, though, or else I would have recommended it. It has good action.

You probably spent a lot of time switching back and forth between ergo and regular keyboards. I didn't. During that year, I used it and nothing but. By that point, muscle memory is pretty well set in its ways, and you find yourself hitting keys you didn't mean to because the positofng ik dlrigvby fodftrer :hammer backspace: is slightly different than what you're used to. Having to move your hands around, look down at the keyboard, and force yourself to get reacquainted with a regular style keyboard after so long away kinda kills your typing speed.

Nah, I've never had a problem with it (because I'm all sorts of awesome). I think it's because I learnt to type on my first ergo keyboard (and because I'm the tops) and so going to a normal one (a whack daddy mack paddy one) from that is no issue. I can imagine (weako people) getting confused (in their teeny tiny brainickles) if they go the other way though (the losers).
