I have combed through the editor extensively and I cannot find anything that you can modify in order to allow a character to equip more than two rings at a time. Is it possible? If so, would some one be kind enough to instruct me how to accomplish this seemingly simple goal. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think it was diablo's manual that had, "And if a character tried to equip more than one ring per finger, the magics instantly killed the character"
Or soemthing like that.
Having more than two rings isn't good!

So what's the problem with wearing 2 rings? :p

:shrugs
Do rings have a look to them? Mine were always covered by gauntlets etc.
Having more rings in my inventory would clutter it up really... (Like I try not to... I have 30 d2 mules, my EQ guy currently has about 200 beers on him, and I have 50 keys on my MW guy =()

Tuco - I'm not sure what you are talking about ...
I'm interested in creating a mod that allows a character to equip more than two rings at a time through use of the TES editor. I think it can be done; I don't know how to do it. My questions are, first, can it be done; and second, if so, how do you do it? I think the advantage to equipping multiple rings is obvious and can be handled in such a way that you do not break the game or make it too easy.
I am certainly happy to debate the the pros and cons of equipping more than two rings with anyone, although it seems to be moot if I can't figure out a way to accomplish it.

I don't think it can be done through the editor because of the kind of editing you want to do... sounds like your idea would have to change how the main data file works... like with the editor, I could see how you could make a duel wield mod, because you would just substitute a weapon in the place of a shield in the shield slot. But to add more slots seems like you'd need to edit the main program data files.

Hum. A person does have 10 fingers. The ability to equip more than 2 rings sounds good to me. I do not really bother with too many at the moment, but only being able to use 2 would really make me less interested. I guess for game play sense, they limited it.
I figure you have 3 fingers per hand that are ring worthy.
Good luck to you. Wish I could help. But, I know Dick about the editor.
I've used it to make a few mods for myself. One gave Wayne in the Fighters Guild in Balmora more cash and another gave the chick in the top floor of the Mages Guild in Balmora more cash. Just so I could sell all my loot!

Would they be magical or not? Cause if they're magical, diablo says!! =)

I think that Kilana is correct; it seems that equipment slots are hardcoded and cannot be edited or modified by the TES editor. Chris Woods' "Magical Trinkets Website" appears to have come up with a creative work around regarding the equipment slots. URL follows: (
