Can anyone help me?! I got the quest for the Rotheran Propylon and went to Rotheran to get it. Apparently I had been there before, the communal hut is empty. There are no bodies and no Propylon. Can someone help me locate it or use the console to recreate it? I really wanted to do the rest of this quest!

How annoying. Maybe you sold it somewhere? Not every trader will buy propylon indices, which may limit the search- pawnbrokers may be a good start, I bought one of the indices from the pawnbroker in Caldera.
On the other hand, maybe bumping this thread up to the top will inspire someone who knows the console solution to reply...

I have that index right now, But I didn't get it at rotheran. I think I got it in felensarano (sp) off of some guy I killed.
I might be wrong but I know that I have the rotheran index and I'm pretty sure that's where I got it.
What quest is it for? I was thinking about selling it, but if it is usefull I might keep it.
another question, where does the popylon take you? to another popylon?

I did something similar, unfortunately if you kill the guy and don't take the index then when his body goes he takes the index with him. I got around it by opening the console and using the placeAtPC command to bring him back (sorry don't remember the exact syntax, but I'm sure you can find examples on this forum) and then killed him again and took the index.

You can use the console to add stuff to your inventory. Press the ~ to open the console. Then you type in this command:
player->additem"index_roth" 1
That should do it. The text should turn blue and you'll have the index in your inventory.

i believe the index allows you to travel to any dwemer stronghold instantly when you talk to that guy in the mages guild who gave out the quest to collect 10 index's

It will take you to one particular propylon. To get the universal index, you need to have the Master Index Plugin installed and find all the indices for the guy in the Caldera Mages Guild. I've just finished all the quests and have the Master Index and it's really cool. To get anywhere, I just have find the closest Propylon to my destination on the map, and the dude sends me there for free.
