Can anyone help with getting to Beta Grove? I got to Beta Grove once and got killed now The elevator says its been disable do to Biological contamination and I've complete Cyberspace a dozen times getting the message that the elevator has been unlocked. I have finished the other two groves and this is all that stands in my way. Is the game glitching or am I forgetting something????

Which elevator is it exactly? Is it that you can't get into the Grove at all?

The lift you are referring to is not the lift to beta grove but the life to engineering (you should even be able to see this by the level numbers listed on it). In fact, the only reason the player has to jettison beta grove is due to the fact that this lift will not let you access engineering due to "biological contamination". Otherwise, there is no real benefit jettisoning the grove as you are going to blow up the station anyway and in fact jettisoning has a rather negative effect as it creates the circumstances for system shock 2.
What you have to do is go to where beta grove is (past the recharge station at the end of a long corridor, just after you have come out of the central hub and into beta).
The lift that you unlocked in cyberspace is the lift to beta grove itself. I cannot even confirm if it is ever locked in the first place as i have always been into cyberspace on that level before actually getting into beta grove.
On a side note, what is the thing in cyberspace on that level that has HUGE, HUGE ice defences that my ice drill seemingly cannot crack? Is there any way to get it cos in the end i just gave up.

I don't know what it is, but if your Drill isn't good enough, just wait until you find a better one in some other section in cyberspace, then come back and try to crack it again.

If i remember correctly if you click on item in cyberspace you can read what it is... I don't remember that item, though. But I guess it's upgraded pulser or shield. :p

Ok i went and checked - still can't get it though. It's pulser upgrade level 8. Surrounded by mines and the hugest ice defences ever seen.
Thing is, i just checked in the ice-breaker thing to see for sure and it reckons i have the highest level drill in the game (level 4). So i really don't know what to do. Unless my drill is just hitting the ice's shots and being cancelled out. But that ice just kills me and i can't seem to do anything to it.
Any ideas? I suppose i am playing on hardest, but still, i would have thought it would be at least somehow possible?

Did it with Drill 4 on Cyberspace 3 today!
On 6th or 7th try though... I was just slow-moving to the hole between mines and firing drill shots..

Video please - i really cant do it - if i go straight upwards i get shot to pieces and if i go at an angle, the shots either don't get through or seem to do nothing? :S
