Ok so i'm new to this forum and i got a pretty n00b and stupid question that you ppl might know and be very bored with.
Firstly, i got the unpatched version of Morrowind, and the problem is related to the Dwemer Puzzle box. The thing is that after i return the Puzzle Box to Hasphat Antabolis (guy in Fighters Guild) he says to deliver notes to Caius Cosades and then he'll give me a key to take back from where i found the Puzzle Box. I think it's bugged, since after that he'll give me no key. I tried all possibities, "reminding" him of the puzzle box, and trying all speach options on him, but still, he'll give no key.
My question is, how on earth am i going to get that key ? Can i steal it ? AND where goes that key ? WHAT does it open ?
PLEASE help me with this... I'm very curious about what it'll open. Thanks in advance.

Ok, so i did a search and apparently the key opens a door to lower levels ? Are those the ones with a lot of lava and centurions (spiders and those yellow robot-like creatures) ? Because i have good security skills and i think i picked those locks already ?
Or... is it a bigger secret ?

...the key isn't important at all. Don't worry about it. And I may be wrong on this, but you have to wait a few days before the guy in the Fighter's Guild will give you the key.

But TS do yourself a favor and patch your game anyways since there are quite a few quest stopping bugs otherwise and some of the crashes have been fixed.
