I confess I did something similar in Fallout-- my little party spent many trips trudging across the desert loaded down with every weapon that every enemy dropped. Especially the kick-ass mutant weapons. Then I stuffed them all in the lockers of a little building I took over in the Hub and pretended I'd set up my own little gun shop.

I actually have the same behaviour in System Shock 2, where I collect every single recyclable item in the game, and usually reach the BOTM with nearly 6000 nanites. The difference is that I have a use for those nanites, as I usually spend them buying HP ammo for the AR, whereas in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. I just finish the game with all that money, because I have no use for it.

Oh yes I'm a notorious collector. It's a shame to leave all those pretty rifles to rust on the ground when they can be put to good use - killing more people.
