Did you get told that you were allowed to enter his yurt? Ashlanders can be pretty touchy about that, and Ashkhans and Wise Women are even worse. Instead, talk to a villiager, who tells you to talk to one of Sul-Matuul's gulakhans, who tells you to talk to Sul-Matul, and then he's okay with you entering his home.
