First this is my husbands username I never recieved my password.
I'm Zionna_Sera,
I killed the scamp in Caldera:o (for His $5000 and I didn't get it)
and now relize that he was probably the richest, most profitable
merchant for the player in all Morrowind.
Now I'm stuck with a $7000 sword and no one has the gold to buy it!
Here is my ? I'm on level 10,should I start over or is there anyone else like him in the game?

There is one other person (err.. creature) in the game... it's a talking mudcrab with 10000 dollars and it's out in the middle of uggin nowhere. I have no clue where he is... maybe east of vivec? On an island? anyway, Creeper the scamp is proably the best merchant in the game, and he pays full price for everything... so if your sword is worth 7k and he's got another weapon worth 2k, you could've sold your 7k sword and bought the 2k one then sold the 2k one for a grand total of 7k... anyway, I suggest reverting to saved or if your patient, someone could probably post a small console cheat to 'revive' him. Hope it helps... going to a Barbeque now. :cheeky:

The mudcrab merchant is east of Vivec. There is a dweomer ruin on an island, and maybe 20 feet to the south and east is a tiny island with a mudcrab on it. That's the place.

Btw, just FYI, the dwemer ruin near the mudcrab merchant is named "Mzanch", and it's marked on the map that comes with the game (it's a little NE of Vivec)
As to respawning Creeper, if you're on the PC try hitting ~ and then typing this:
placeatpc scamp_creeper 1, 128, 0
(though reverting to a prior savegame is your only alternative if you're on an XBox)

Thanx for the help, I'm on Xbox and have no saves prior to killing him.
So that means starting over from scratch, but before I do that can anyone
tell me if the Mudcrab buys for Fullprice?

hey,
just a quick Q about merchants in general...say they have 5k, and you sell something for the full 5k...the merchant has no money... when and how does the merchants money respawn or whatever ? is it 1 day ?

Definitely within 1 day, though there might be a certain time of day that the merchants get their money (it might be that it happens after 24 hrs, but I doubt that). I've never looked too deeply into it, though I'm sure someone on here has.
