Help! I can't play ingame movies :(

Hey,

Looks like I'm unable to play the ingame movies of Thief 1 and Thief 2 anymore. Dunno what happened. I'm using Windows Vista. I reinstalled the original Indeo codecs. Didn't help. I installed the alternative lingos codecs. Didn't help. I installed K-Lite Mega Codecs Pack. Didn't help. Even bashing on the monitor didn't help. What to do? I'm unable to play the videos even in a player.

Run thief.exe as an administrator. That's the only way I get movies in Vista.

Hmm... AFAIK, there are several videoplayers exist that are capable to play almost any video without any codecs: (http://www.gomlab.com/eng/) GOM Player, (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) VLC, (http://www.free-codecs.com/download/kmplayer.htm) KM Player. But I must admit that I'm not sure about Thief's video...
