HELP!!!!! i cant figure out how to soul trap a summoned golden saint - by ThatDarnDavidKid

i try to do it but when i do nothing happens. i first summon the golden saint and then i use soul trap for 60 sec and then i kill it and it only takes about 10 secs to kill. i really cant figure this out and i want to so i can make something that has a constint effect:ebil:

A couple dumb questions... do you have a grand soul gem? Is your Mysticism & its related stat high enough?

Golden saint's can be rotten sometimes. They will use dispell/reflect at the drop of a hat, or spell for that matter. If you have the patch, try whacking them with your weapon a few times to get their health bar down to a low level, then blast'em with your soul trap and finish the job. I don't think you can see reflect, but dispell is very noticable, in that, you will see them raise and lower their arms about their body and the sparkly halo about them will disappear.
PS - I've never tried to summon one to capture their soul -- no need since I've found them to be everywhere around the world. It may be that the patch (if you have it) changed the ability to trap summoned creatures (?). I have tried to take dremora weapon this way but found it impossible to do.
