Gentleman Jim Stacey 1st Job
After visiting the Elven Nations corner club questioning the locals i found out that Nads Tharen was last seen speaking with Arvama Rathri and that he lived in the St. Delyn Canton South 2 canal works.
From my research with the search function someone said that this Arvama Rathri is suppose to attack you if you question her enough but i couldn't get her to threaten me. I raised her disposition up to 100 but all she says is she never saw Nads and then from them on "what are you suggesting" is the only response.
Not knowing what really to do next i decided to do check out Nads' house and as such travled to the Delyn compound. The first thing i noticed was there was no South 2 in the 'canal works' - there is however a South 2 outside on the 'waste works' level.
Thinking this was some sort of mistake on the part of the designers i proceeded to enter the waste work south 2 'house'. It turns out the place is already occupied by one 'Amili Llaramen' who didn't have Nads as a discussion topic.
From the thread i searched out there's suppose to be Nads' dead body in the room so you can imagine my frustration.
I'm at a loss as to what to do i've checked ALL the south and north houses in both the St. cantons but no luck.
Can anyone point out where i've gone wrong?

Hrm... I know you said you checked them all out, but I suspect you simply missed it; especially because (IIRC) the middle apartment on the south side of St. Delyn's is labelled #3, and the eastern one (again, on the south side) is labelled #2. Unless you have a plugin that overrides that room, you'll find him, just keep looking. (I also have some hazy memories of there being upstairs and downstairs outside apartments, but I could be mis-remembering things there)

Hmm... i'll look again but i've checked twice. :(
I don't have any plugins installed.
It's all a bit of a mystery - i can't understand why if i go to the exact room stated in my journal the body isn't there - a dunmer woman called Amili Llaram is there instead.

Something else that may help... keep an eye out for Ilmeni Dren's apartment (she's the one that's #3, but is in the middle on the south side of St. Delyn's); I think hers is right next to Nads' place. If you still can't find it, I'll look it up when I get home...

Okay after checking all the 'North/South 1/2' rooms on both saint cantons this is what i found -
St. Delyn :-
North 1 - A dark room gaurded by an aggressive 'Ancestor Guardian' ghost
North 2 - A strangely empty room devoid of any NPC.
South 1 - A male Dunmer named 'Niden Naros'.
South 2 - A female Dunmer named 'Amili Llaram' - this is the room suggested in the journal to be Nads Tharen's home.
St. Olms
North 1 - A male Dunmer named 'Tralayn Vavas'
North 2 - A female Dunmer named 'Favana Gilnith'
South 1 - A female Dunmer named 'Melruli Hlaalu'
South 2 - A male Dunmer named 'Dalvus Helothran'
I investigated whether there were any rooms in the canal works but all i could find was a storage room.
This is a nightmare. :(

Hrm... given that you didn't list the NPC "Ilmeni Dren", I know you're missing something; further, I know that the area Nads' place is at has three rooms each on the north and south sides. Try looking one level lower, on the walkways around St. Delyn's outside?

St. Delyn and St. Olms have 2 levels of outside rooms... waistworks level north and south, and canalworks level north and south.

Uh oh i knew something would turn up that would make me look like an idiot ( :o ) i have only been looking around the highest story waist works - i'll remember this next time i feel the need to comment on an evidently 'stupid question'.
It has never occured to me that there might be rooms on the out side of the lowest level...
Sorry for waisting your time. :erg:

Well if it'll make you feel better... uhm, er it happened to me too :p. And when you think about it, a 2d map is NOT really a good representation of a 3d world.
p.s. provided of course you were depending on the map :D !

I couldn't even begin to tell you how many times I've done something that silly, Red ;) I only figgered 'em out by cheating and looking in the editor :p
