HONK GOES THE COW! HONK HONK HONK!
From what very little I know of the situation, I hope the original creators win their court case, considering Stardock seem to be playing the bastards in this little drama.

For those of you who are not familiar with Star Control, that space cow is from Star Control 3 :eww: (not considered canon).

I hope so too. Going through the details it seems clear that Stardock is more than stepping their boundaries here. Paul and Fred are the original creators of Star Control and Star Control II: The Ur-Quan Masters. They own the IPs, but Stardock owns the Star Control trademark, which is why Paul and Fred can't use the name. But Stardock thinks that because it owns the trademark, Paul and Fred can't make a sequel to Star Control II. This is one place where they clearly go wrong. Paul and Fred own the Star Control II IP, so that gives them every right to make a sequel and use whatever aliens, places and events are in the first two games, although they can't use the name Star Control in it.

These guys have been Activision corporate stooges who've spent half a decade swindling children out of their pocket money to buy Happy Meal toys necessary to unlock pay-gated content that's already on-disc (Skylanders). Fuck them.

I think we can summarise Eva's latest cascade of bitter confetti* as 'fuck everyone, also I have a smartphone'.
*As opposed to normal confetti, which is disappointingly bland and chewy

I don't get why people use these apps which spam "sent from my X" on every post when modern smartphone browsers are perfectly capable of displaying forums.

They can be a bit fiddly though. I need to zoom way in to hit the next unread post button.
Also, the Tapatalk auto-signature can be changed or removed in the settings. If you aren't too lazy :)
