Will someone please tell me where the
blackjack and the toilet key are? I've gotten the sword, 1100 loot (without the saphire vase, including the ring), and I have several game saves - the furthest of which has me stuck searching for the toilet key in the zombie pool room. I can't figure out if "carrots" is a clue for the BJ, but I've cleared the kithcen cupboards.
I've been very frustrated without the blackjack.

The blackjack:
Try looking on the inside of the carrot cubbard. There's a button.
The Loo Key:
You are in the right place. There is a hole in one of the walls, right under that on the wood walkway is the key.
Thanks very much!

I thought that would do it, but I'm going insane trying to figure out what that button does. I seem to have approached this mission in the most difficult way possible. I have not yet killed Patti, though I alerted him earlier when I entered the room. The problem is, he never returned to his chair. He stood further and further behind his chair after every time I alerted him (I was trying to get him out of my way), which hasn't allowed me to explore that room fully after hitting the invisible (to me) button/switch. Now he is in the halfway between the entrance and his chair, meaning I can't get into the "living room" where his desk is to find out if that is where the BJ is without having him open the entrance door which allows the guard to see me. I'm pulling my hair out! I guess I need to know exactly where the BJ is. Thanks.

BJ
When you pushed the button, the windowsill in the kitchen moved back. Look there for your BJ.
That Miserable Thief on 2/12/2003 at 04:36
Thanks, Nightwalker.
My window sill did NOT move at all - ever. I tried this several times just now both with the window open and closed and the sill did not move. I was able to get the BJ by frobbing the sill, but would never have known it was there if I wasn't told.
Stringgod on 2/12/2003 at 13:51
Shit !
Arnold is frobable without opening the windowsill !
The correct way to kill Patti is to drown him in his pool. But for that you
have to find Arnold first to KO him. That's the most easy way to manage
the kill objective, I think. By the way, drowning somebody, or throwing
somebody from a high building, is my favourite way of killing. HeHeHe !:ebil:
I have't found out (yet), how to make it (in dromed), that somebody can
only be killed in a special place (pool). (Is that correct english ?)
Hey That Miserable Thief,
maybe you play this mission with Thief 1 without the 'tgpatch_basic.exe'
Thief Gold patch. Without that patch there are some frobbing problems.

Ok, I am getting quite frustrated with this mission, and I'm only at the beginning. I haven't even made it into the compound. I have found the tunnel under the rock that leads to the burrick, however, when I try to open the door (which is what I think it is), I get no where. I even tried to lockpick it, but I can't hear whether or not its working. I also tried to push a rock (like another taffer said they did) over to the big tree, but I couldn't get further than about 5 feet with it.
Please, please, please someone help me before I get too frustrated and write this mission out of my book.

Are you playing with T1 and not Gold? Before I downloaded and installed the patch Stringgod posted (see earlier posts) all I saw with that door was a black rectangle that wouldn't frob. That patch fixed that. Now I see a wooden door that frobs and which I can pick.
The boulder thing takes some patience, the tree I moved it towards (I used the last boulder on the left of the three big ones out back by the ratmen) was fairly close, so if you can move the rock "five feet" you should be right up against the tree.

I've had Thief Gold installed for a few years, Stringgod.
When I finally killed Patti, I knocked him out, dropped him out the window, carried him to the "loo", dropped him down the ladder wells (I think he died the first time), and finally dropped him into the pool.
BTW, is anything located in the room with the water symbol over it (near the front door)? I never tried to get in there.
