I just realized impossible difficulty has WAY less F-E devices than what I was lead to believe (I ctrl-f'd through a walkthrough to count how many there are when planning my character), and I need some SS2 guru to shed some light on this matter. How many of them are there on impossible, total?
I'm on my way to deck 6, and so far I've found two. This is a bit of a shock to me really, as I haven't invested anything in modify and can't afford to (it's too late now).
I got grenade launcher at mod 1, and fusion cannon at mod 1. I can live with just one upgrade in the nade launcher, but getting my nuke cannon to mod 2 is absolute must! It's too bad my energy pistol and emp rifle will be completely unmodified... probably :sweat:

Anyway just finished. Found a total of 5 FEDs on impossible, don't know if I missed one (doubt it).

Why not just increase your modification skill?

As far as I know the number of FE devices is set and isn't dependent on difficulty level.

I was playing a max energy/heavy weapons OSA psi hybrid. I just didn't have enough cyber modules to waste on modify. Besides, I got every modification I wanted.

Negative. On impossible, several FEDs are missing from the game. For example, high security crate in hydroponics D (containing a FED), and another one in ops D near the simulation unit.
