just started a new game after becoming nerevarine once, and this time caius isn't giving me orders, i hget upto the order of being sent to hasphat antabolis and sh-gro-bal (or whatever) and he doesn't give me any more orders. He says he's not ready and to go out and improve my skills, I'm the guildmaster of the mages guild and master of the fighters guild. I'm not using any plug-ins or mods. anyone got any ideas?

The guild (and I forget the name :o) that you join when you first meet him, have you tried looking at what the requirements for the next level in that are. Then try to meet those before talking to him again.
A suggestion - although I don't know if it definitely correct.

I'm pretty sure he always says that the first time. Speak to him again - you sound ready.
