I would play it but it won't recognize the second stick of my gamepad, it infuriates me - guess I'll have to use mouse and keyboard:(.
I'd much rather play it mouse and keyboard than gamepad, particularly for the simon-y action sequences. I understand your gamepad preference, but I'm glad I did keyboard/mouse when I played it.

I second that. ^^^

You talk about Fahrenheit, but Omikron, the first game of QD was most perfect and idea of Fahrenheit is very closer to Omikron, I'm sure HEAVY RAIN too, it can be a sequel for Fahrenheit, but I can say it only next week on.

I may be completely wrong here, but think she's speaking French in that (sound-lacking) video. She's either speaking English with terrible lip-synching, or she's speaking French with lip-synching so good I could actually
tell she was speaking French without even hearing her voice.
Well, all I know is that the lip-syncing on Fahrenheit was pretty much perfect.
Also, I always though that Quantic Dream was a German company, not French...?

Quantic Dream is definitely a French company. Their website can be viewed in English or French, and I recall the credits for Omikron containing mostly French names.
Quantic Dream also runs a high-end motion capture studio (which is why all their games contain such fluid character animation). They once released a video documenting their motion-capture process and technology, and all the employees interviewed in the video were either speaking French or had distinctly French accents.

Whoa. I've been thinking about picking this up for awhile, I may have to seriously check it out now.

I don't have a gamepad preference, I was just told (mainly by Gamespot's review) that it was designed with gamepad in mind and the mouse and keyboard were awkward for controlling it.
If that's not the case, then woo, I'm starting it right now. And it even has triple-buffering! Even Oblivion can't match that!
Anyway, suprising lack of commentary on the Heavy Rain trailer - I'm still slowly catching up on this stuff so just saw it (I think it was only recently posted, as the one at the show was inaudible due to noise). Really weird. For a movie, not weird, but for a game, I've never seen anything like it. It is like a soap opera (as noted by the woman herself many times) but a bit more down-to-earth and gritty. Animation is very cool - at first I thought something was wrong with her mouth animations but then I realized the character just has an overbite.
That last comment (by David Cage) is hilarious, particulary because you don't expect any humor after that very serious monologue.
The other odd thing about the trailer is that it a teaser in the truest sense - it gives you absolutely NO idea what to expect from the game. Most other trailers give you some sense of, if not gameplay, at least story and setting (MGS4) but this...what is it? You're gonna play an adulterous husband who's wife gets mad?
Maybe that's the opening of the game, and you die, and so you play as like, the husband in the land of the dead, or an undead adulterer, or something. I dunno.

It's Quantic Dream's trend. They try to draw games and movies closer. I think Fahrenheit hasn't actual "gameplay", just some interaction with storyline (the story is actually pretty weak in the end, but it's involving in the first part of the game). The way the story is presented (some innovative elements) and cool atmosphere make this game unique and memorable even with weak story.

What the... One of those screenshots is from The Suffering :weird:
Anyway, anyone know anything 'bout Heavy Rain + PC?
